 The Columbia County Republican Committee nominated candidates for the only two county-wide open seats it doesn’t already hold title to Monday. Dutchess County real estate agent and Fourth District Legislator Sue Serino was picked to oppose Assemblywoman Didi Barrett, D-Hudson, and Chatham funeral home owner Michael Blasl will take on County Coroner Roberta Davis.
In a vote that took place at Kozel’s Restaurant in Ghent, committee members also unanimously endorsed incumbents U.S. Rep. Chris Gibson, R,C,I-19th District, State Sen. Kathy Marchione, R,C-43rd District, Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin, R,C-107th District and County Clerk Holly Tanner. -more-
